Shri Kalyan Kumar assumed charge as Executive Director of the Bank on 21st October, 2021. Shri Kalyan Kumar, a Post Graduate in science from Rajendra Prasad Agriculture University, Pusa, is also a Certified Associate Member of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB) and holds various certifications in Trade Finance, SME Finance, IT Security and KYC-AML from Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF). Shri Kumar is presently the Chairman on the Board of two of the subsidiaries of Punjab National Bank, PNB Gilts Ltd. and PNB Cards & Services Ltd. He is the nominee member of Board of Governors of Management Development Institute (MDI) Society. Shri Kumar is on the Board of IIFCL as SCB nominee Director and on the Board of NIBSCOM as Chairman. He is also the Chairman of Board Level Committee for IT Strategy of PNB. Shri Kumar has undergone the Banks Board Bureau Training Program for Top Leadership Development and also Director Development Programme conducted by Egon Zehnder in collaboration with Harvard University. Since the joining of Shri Kalyan Kumar as the Executive Director in Punjab National Bank, he is playing a pivotal role in Profit & Loss delivery across key business, support, and control functions with responsibilities across multiple domains. He is leading Bank’s vision and strategy for overall business growth through Digital Transformation, Strategic Management, Economic Advisory, Data Analytics and Information Technology Excellence. He directed the HR Transformation, ‘PNB Udaan’, which provides clarity of roles & expectations from each employee with well-defined and measurable KRAs. He also spearheads the Business Acquisition and Relationship Division, focusing on driving growth in CASA and marketing of both asset and liability products, including Credit Cards. Shri Kumar also led the Wealth Management Vertical of the Bank with focus on increase in fee based income through third party products. Keeping the ESG Goals on priority, Shri Kumar also launched a go green initiative ‘PNB Palaash’. Multiple awareness programs were conducted and various initiatives were launched like Tree Plantation Drives, Usage of Digital copies & Biodegradable folders, Energy, Paper & Water saving measures, Car pooling etc. Along with the above milestones, his oversight during the tenure in Business Process Re-engineering, proactive Credit Monitoring, improving Asset Quality and Recovery, Operations & KYC and enhancing Customer Experience further improved the EASE performance of the Bank on a whole. Shri Kalyan Kumar started his journey in Union Bank of India as Rural Development Officer in 1995 and has served the Bank for more than 26 years in various capacities. He worked as the Branch Head in various categories of branches which also include VLBs (Very Large Branches). He was also the Principal of the Staff Training College. In the Corporate Office, he aided in the Bank’s Business Process Transformation, Credit Review & Monitoring and Vigilance. Lastly, he headed HR as the Chief General Manager of the Bank. The successful amalgamation of Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank into Union Bank of India was steered under his supervision and control. As a part of the Committee constituted by Banks Board Bureau (BBB), presently known as Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB), for devising Suitable Training Program for PSBs, he prepared a comprehensive report on the Training Programs for staff at all levels and drove a Unique Leadership Development Program ‘Union Bhavishya’ for preparing future leaders for the Bank. He has also led an end to end Digital HR Transformation Project ‘Union Prerna’ for creating a performance centric HR initiative empowering all employees.
Shri Binay Kumar Gupta is a seasoned banker with over 31 years of extensive experience across diverse geographies, demographics, and operational scales within the Indian banking sector. He has also held an international leadership role as Managing Director & CEO of Punjab National Bank (International) Limited in London, gaining valuable global exposure. An innovative thinker with strong analytical acumen, Mr. Gupta holds a B.A. (Hons) degree and has earned several professional certifications, including CAIIB from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), Certified Treasury Professional and Certificate in Risk in Financial Services (Level 1, IIBF). Currently, he is Chief General Manager and serving as the National Head for Liability Business, Third Party Products, Marketing, Cards, and Government Business at Punjab National Bank. He also holds a directorship at PNB Cards & Services Limited
Mr. Firoz Hasnain is presently heading Retail & MSME Credit Division in Punjab National Bank Corporate Office as Chief General Manager. He is a career banker with more than three decades of experience. Starting his career as Officer in 1995, he moved up the ladder by working with two public sector banks on lateral movement. He headed Zones like Kolkata & Mumbai as Zonal Head along with Large Corporate branch at Mumbai in erstwhile Oriental Bank of Commerce. He served as Branch Incumbent in Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai LCB. His leadership roles across various branches and departments underscore his commitment to excellence in the banking sector. Mr. Hasnain is a graduate in Master of Science by qualification and is also Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers. He has undergone the Leadership Development Program and Cyber Risk & Resilience Program conducted by CAFRAL.
Dr Rajesh Prasad assumed charge as Chief General Manager - Punjab National Bank in April 2025, presently, looking after Operations Division including General Banking Division, ADC Reconciliation Division and Customer Care Division. Prior to this, Mr. Prasad held key assignment in PNB including Zonal Manager, ZO Chandigarh and convener for State Level Bankers’ Committee of Haryana and UT Chandigarh, Nominee Director on Board of Sarva Haryana Gramin Bank (a sponsored bank of PNB); Chairman of Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) and Secretary Bankers Club Chandigarh. He has also served as Circle Head Hoshiarpur in the rank of Dy. General Manager. Dr Rajesh Prasad started his banking journey in Punjab National Bank as Manager- Technical Officer in the year 2003 and has served the Bank for the last 22 years in various capacities across the country. He has vast experience, exposure & expertise in major fields of banking, including Information Technology, Digital Banking, Corporate Credit, MSME, General Banking Operations among others. Prior to joining in PNB, he also served in erstwhile Allahabad Bank for 3 years as an officer and in Ordnance Factory Board, Ministry of Defense, GOI for 2 Years. A postgraduate in Computer Sciences, coupled with MBA in Marketing, he’s also a Doctorate in Management (Ph.D.) and a Certified Associate Member of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). His multi-disciplinary skills empower him to integrate People, Process and Technology (PPT) for synergic impact. He is firm believer in inclusive leadership, employee empowerment and data driven decision making. His strategic priorities include digital transformation, risk diversification, HR development and strengthening customer engagement through innovation and partnership with fintech.
Mr. Taufique Alam has a rich banking experience of over 20 years and carries skill and competencies related to varied Field and Administrative offices. He has joined e-OBC (Amalgamated with PNB wef 01/04/2020) as Chief Manager (Forex) in 20/10/2010, after working for 8 years in Andhra Bank in Branch Banking, Trade Finance, Treasury and Risk Management. He has worked in Trade Finance, Domestic & Forex Treasury in Dealing room, Back Office & Mid Office in Treasury, International Banking Division. Corporate Credit & MSME Co-Lending. Digital Lending etc. He was part of Business Process re-engineering and Software implementation in Treasury & Trade Finance and Integration with Branch banking along with Digital Lending and LOS Implementation. He has also worked as Circle Head of Varanasi and Bhubaneswar Circles. He is Post Graduate in Statistics along with PGDBA in France. He has completed Leadership Development Programme of IIM Bangalore & Egon Zehnder as part of 2nd Batch of Senior Officers selected by FSIB (erstwhile BBB). He has attended various training and Leadership Development Programs including CAFRAL BOA, ASCI, etc. Mr. Taufique Alam is General Manger in PNB and was deputed as MD & CEO of PNB Investment & Services Limited (A wholly owned subsidiary of PNB) from 22.02.2022 to 01.05 2023.
